Camel Racing

Once the winter season has started, go and see a camel race at one of the many racetracks across the country. Camel races take place during the late October to early April racing season. The races generally take place on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Two races are the norm, with the morning race beginning at 7:30am and the afternoon race at 2:30pm.

Emirates Hydroponics Farms

The Emirates Hydroponics Farms is located between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The farm site at Al Bahia opened in 2005 to promote high quality produce that can be grown within the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) whilst utilizing the modern water saving techniques of European technologies and management. The farm does welcome school classes from November till April.

Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club

The riding club at Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club (02.455.500) has horses suitable for a wide range of abilities. Facilities include extensive stables and an air-conditioned show jumping and riding arena. Show jumping events are staged on a regular basis. The Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club is located right in the middle of Abu Dhabi city and details on the riding school can be found online.

The Royal Stables

The Royal Stables are located opposite the Abu Dhabi Country Club and members can buy a block of 10 horse riding lessons. Call 02.447.7602 for more details. Birthday parties and summer camps are being organized as well. Mums can wait in the coffee shop.

Emirates Equestrian Centre

The Emirates Equestrian Centre, near Bab Al Shmas, does offer a pony club and a little league to the young riders.
