In 2002 Dr Christopher Reynolds and Sheena Reynolds established a learning development programme in the UAE that was to become the British Institute for Learning Development. The British Institute is unique for its philosophy of learning development as the basis for education and is the first and only schooling programme of its kind in the Middle East. As a Talented Children Development Centre, the British Institute is able to develop children's 'talents' by increasing their cognitive development to increase their learning capacity and intelligence. BILD Abu Dhabi is located in Khalifa City A, call 02.556.6078 for more details.
Dots & Links for Skills Development Center offers services for children and adults who are not working up to their potential. Whether it’s a reading difficulty or attention challenges, we can work with anyone who wants to become a better performer at school or at the work place. Our role would be to identify the causes of difficulties and then to strengthen them through our unique cognitive training program. We empower people by unleashing the potential they have within.
The Future Centre for Special Needs is a non-profit organization based in Abu Dhabi. It specializes in the education and habilitation of individuals with disabilities, who may stay at the centre between ages of 3 and 20 years of age. Being a non-profit organization, the Centre thrives on the benevolence of the various sectors of the community, who provide support in the form of cash donations, student sponsorships, and free use of facilities, professional services on pro-bono, voluntary work and special student activities and events.
For children as young as age 3, NECC-Abu Dhabi provides 30 hours per week of intensive 1:1 instruction based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. NECC-Abu Dhabi strives to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorders develop the skills necessary to be successful learners in regular classroom settings.
Stars for Special Abilities offer all specialized multidisciplinary services to support every child with learning difficulties to reach their full potential and accomplish a successful inclusion.
Special Care Centre
The Good Heart Organization is raising funds through the Donate a Brick campaign to set up a Special Care Community School in order to provide some 300 children with special needs, with a state of the art environment for their education and holistic upbringing. We would like to open the school in September 2011, so we need all your support NOW to make this dream come true. As the Special Care Centre will be financed by the community, it is also intended to be a place which non-students and their families can use to improve their skills and also benefit from individual, group or family counseling. Visitors and members of the Community at large will thus be able to use the numerous facilities that will be provided by the school: auditorium, gymnasium, multipurpose area, hydrotherapy pool, clinic, library, school shop, playground, gardens, etc.
